We are looking for dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic online German Language teachers to
coach and tutor students and help them achieve their language learning goals.
- Provide high-quality, interactive lessons that make German language concepts clear and accessible to students of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
- Tailor lessons and practice exercises to meet the individual learning needs and goals of each student, ensuring progress in both basic and advanced topics.
- Regularly assess students’ understanding and provide constructive feedback on assignments, quizzes, and tests. Track their progress and adjust lessons accordingly.
- Encourage student participation and foster a positive, engaging learning environment that motivates students to ask questions and think critically.
- Be available for student inquiries and offer additional resources for practice, where necessary, to enhance their learning experience.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in German language curricula and teaching methods to ensure that lessons are relevant, effective, and aligned with academic standards.
- Make use of digital teaching tools, such as interactive whiteboards, video lessons, and Maths software, to create an enriching and dynamic learning experience.
- A degree in German Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- A teaching certification in German as a Foreign Language (e.g., Goethe Institute certifications, TELC, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Experience teaching German as a foreign language, preferably in an online or virtual environment.
- Experience with students of various proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced learners, is a plus.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken German, with clear and precise communication skills.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners.
- Experience using teaching methodologies like communicative approach, task-based learning, or immersion techniques.
- Ability to explain grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context clearly and effectively.
- Comfortable using digital platforms such as Ms Teams, and interactive tools (like virtual whiteboards or language apps).
- Ability to create and share learning materials online, including exercises, videos, and audio content.
- A deep understanding of German-speaking cultures, as well as the ability to incorporate cultural elements into lessons to make the learning experience more enriching.
- The ability to adjust teaching strategies to meet the varying learning styles, paces, and needs of individual students..
- Clear and professional communication with students, parents (if applicable), and colleagues.
- Organizational skills to track student progress, assign homework, and provide constructive feedback.
- A high-speed internet, ring light and headset is a plus.
- A genuine passion for teaching German and helping students achieve their language learning goals.
