DORTMUND, GERMANY – July 26, 2026 – Following an inspiring display of entrepreneurial excellence, Language Afrik has officially announced the Top 5 finalists for the 2026 “Pitch Your Idea Challenge.” Selected from a highly competitive pool of submissions, these young innovators are developing creative, technology-driven solutions to tackle critical challenges in sustainability, education, social inclusion, and community development.
The finalist selection follows a rigorous evaluation process assessing problem definition, technical feasibility, market opportunity, and overall social impact. The five highest-scoring teams now advance to the live finals, set to take place at the Young CEO Masterclass 2026 on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

- 1st Place – Eco-Weave (St. Dominick’s High School) | Score: 92/100 An eco-tech initiative transforming plastic waste into high-quality woven textiles and fashion products, driving job creation, environmental cleanup, and local economic empowerment.
- 2nd Place – SilverBridge (Samiha Abdalla) | Score: 78/100 An intergenerational digital assistance model connecting youth mentors with seniors to promote digital literacy, scam protection, and community connection.
- 3rd Place – Local Language Learning App (Maimuna Bmitosahi – Air force Comprehensive School) | Score: 75/100A gamified educational app dedicated to preserving indigenous African languages, making native language learning interactive and accessible for youth and the diaspora.
- 4th Place – AI Homework & Study Assistant (Irene Sunday – Air force Comprehensive School) | Score: 70/100An AI-powered academic companion integrated with local language translation features to deliver personalised, 24/7 tutoring support to primary and secondary students.
- 5th Place – EcoPoints Club (Shammah Adagayi) | Score: 65/100An incentive-based recycling program that motivates students and schools to take environmental action through rewards, games, and community cleanup initiatives.
The Grand Finale: Live Pitches at Young CEO Masterclass 2026
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, these finalists will present their solutions live before a distinguished panel of industry experts, educators, investors, and community leaders. Finalists will compete for funding, mentorship opportunities, and the championship title of the 2026 Pitch Your Idea Challenge.
